It’s the end of the year, but that doesn’t mean our talented team has slowed their pace. We’re constantly working on new updates and features to make your research even easier. One of these is a completely new look and feel for the Studies page.

In this post, we’ll explain why we made this change and we’ll also take a look at some of the key differences you’ll see in-app.

Note: We’re gradually rolling out this change, making sure we take the time to work through any bugs and feedback. If you don’t see it now, you will shortly! Thanks for your patience.

Why we overhauled the Studies page

Along with the Dashboard, the Studies page is really the nexus of all your research. It’s the place where you kick-off projects and the one you return to over the course of a study. It’s also an important space for collaboration.

With that in mind, we set out to make the Studies page a better place for you to manage your research. We’ve added new organization features and ways to make it easier to retrieve studies and projects. The slick new interface also brings the Studies page in line with the rest of our tools and helps you scan and find the information that is important to you.

For teams using Optimal Workshop, other changes make it easier for you to collaborate with the people working alongside you.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the major changes we’ve made to the Studies page.

Everything in one place

The new Studies page makes it much easier to see your projects and individual studies, as well as the status of a study. This means you can identify whether a study is live or still in draft, and who created it.

Quickly close live studies

In the past, you’d need to go into a study to close it. Now, you can just click the ‘Actions’ button to access a list of options, including the option to close a live study. Easy!

Study management changes

We’ve also made some changes to the study creation workflow. Now, it’s easier to create studies and organize them in folders. This is especially useful when you’re working with studies in multiple tools, or running multiple research projects simultaneously. You’ll also notice that we’ve given project folders higher priorities, and made it easier to create studies within folders.

Making it easier to work together

We always want to make our tools as easy to use as possible for individuals — but we also do the same for teams. The new Studies page includes many improvements designed for collaboration.

For example, you can now view studies by team member. This means you can locate specific work being undertaken by your colleagues. You can also see all studies in one place, which will make hopping between projects easier. Finally, you now see who’s worked on a project in the past.

Happy testing!
